Zidan is a true Renaissance man - scholar, athlete, musician, community servant, and so much more. He is an accomplished golfer, cellist in the Honors Collegium Orchestra, a member of the Speech and Debate Team, but you’re just as likely to find him organizing chess matches as the club leader during lunch. He is also a member of Model UN, the Student Diversity Leadership Council, Atlanta branch founder of Consulate Review and a leader of the South Asian Affinity group. He has had to become a master of time management and prioritization. If you were to ask Zidan his most meaningful activity, he would immediately tell you it’s his position as Youth Area Lead for his mosque or masjid, Ismaili Jamatkhana. As Area Lead, Zidan is tasked with helping facilitate prayer ceremonies, managing younger volunteers, cleaning the community center, and guiding the elderly. Zidan is genuinely, authentically interested in other people and the world around him.

Academic Journey

Growing up, my parents taught me to not only strive for success on the golf course, but especially in the classroom as well. My family stresses academics before golf, and I have always been diligent in maintaining A’s in school. Not only have I tried to maintain high grades, but I have also challenged myself through rigorous classes in every subject I partake in. I push myself to learn and grow by placing myself in classes that have peaked my interest and will force me develop positive studying/learning habits for the future.
